I like the ideas posted and all, but Sardelac is the ideas forum.
Anyway, time for my $0.02 - Pet Stable, Bows affecting skills somewhat (shortbow gives an innate 10% bow attack activation speed boost, longbow gives a 10% damage boost etc.) and Crossbows.
Yay rangers.

I'd highly suggest that all of you do as Artemis suggests; there's existing threads for a lot of these in Sardelac and you'd be better off to just chime in on them.
I see a glimmer in your eye for someone else who wants to spend only a moments with you a week.
I dunno about this, given how much grinding I've been doing to get towards getting new armor in GW:EN.

I swear, I'll never understand that request. If you want to get as many people as possible to stop playing the game, that's the way to do it. It's a good way to ruin the game for most of the player base without benefiting anyone, though, I'll give it that.

It's because those people asking for that request are incredibly ignorant and/or trying to tick others off.
Anyway, I doubt ANET can or will do much to "save" GW at this point. The one main thing that I was hoping for in GW:EN was the feature for 7 heroes but obviously ANET has refused that. So I really can't think of anything else other than a completely new game that will bring any freshness into the game.

What saving... I dont know what your playing but everywhere I have been of late has been active. Eye is starting to dwindle a little cause most of us finished it up till HM is ready that is, so we moved back to our normal activities in the rest of the game now... I have zero desire beyond my main character to have stuff in the HoM, so as such I really have no reason to grind anything again for other characters. its not wanted so why bother. I much rather go about doing elite missions and doing missions with my allies again... as we were prior to GWEN coming out. Sure we do stuff in CTP and slavers on occasion, but normally when we get enough people on to enjoy it. Who whats to go do that stuff again alone? Especially with no Hard mode... There are more challenging things to do in HM in the rest of the game then to hang out in GWEN in normal mode.
1 thing I did notice. GWEN spoiled us too much. Party wipe in Nightfall for instance. OMG how dare we get a mission failed, we should have got resed at the shrine or something right? Oh yea... this is not GWEN... Opps... Gwen with all those res shrines in dungeons just make us really really bad players in the end it seems...

Heroes thing really bugs alot people here. I'm curious if anyone who prefers to solo understands why there are those who wish to rid the heroes.
Its not to piss off the solo players, but to put back the multiplayer in the MMORPG that Guild Wars is intended to be. The game title alone implies being part of a group.
If Solo players lost their heroes/henchmen privileges, yeah some would quit in frustration because the game is too hard soloing. Others would make the effort to seek out partners. Overall there would be a widespread of player interaction in PvE.
Solo players should understand that Guild Wars is suppose to be a multiplayer game. I'm not against a little AI support, but right now it's causing a rift in GW.

I agree, heroes are taking the online and multiplayer part away from guild wars. People just dont want to put up with one another anymore and thats just very sad :/

Fist off you dont know a thing about the name Guild Wars by your post. Guild Wars were the battles that guilds fought and was a time in the far history of our game.
Second - removal of heros and henchies would end the game very fast. Theres a much bigger problem than solo people with H/H . Heros actually teach people how to play with others.
third- guild wars is SUPPOSED be played however people choose to play not some way others think they need to play.
fourth- Yes people who solo understands why people like you dont want heros and henchies. Which is why they dont play with people like you.
Now if Anerf truelly wanted to save there game. Ive pointed it out many times before how to do it. Most of the PvPers wont like it but its the only way to really save it one way.
Restore all nerfed skills. Remove LS, leaving out the antifarm code, Make people actually learn to play before trying to play PvP.

Heroes > ANY pug. Have yet to have a hero start drawing a penis on the radar while in a mission. That alone is reason enough to leave heroes in the game.

Why is it so hard to understand that THIS attitude is exactly why so many people avoid PUGs?
I blanked out the name of the person who posted the above quote. I'm not looking to flame anyone, just making a statement.

While i don't wish for heroes to be removed from the game, I can see the point being valid that their introduction has led to the dying off of PUGs.
I went through Prophicies before their introduction and most of Factions, and used henchies most of the way untill the last few Krytan missions, Henchies were awful and most pug's would operate a lot better than them, when factions came out most players moved there so getting a PUG was very difficult and a good one even more so. however missions were possible.
Factions was impossible without PUG, most misions could not be mastered without them.
Nightfall however introduced heroes, and also diluted the population, most played there, and getting a PUG was realatively easy, however, with heroes they needed to be leveled so most would want to do that, and with the realisation that they were better than most PUGs then players naturally would chose to use them when they couln't get guildmates to help.
I fell into that trap and now never use a PUG, However when i do go into mission towns i rarely find more than half a dozen people, so if i was looking for a PUG i woudl probably be waiting a long time, mainly due to some missions requiring certain professions to help win.
The removal of heroes may seem like the solution to people socialising and revitalising the game, however, while their introduction may have aded the lack of PUG grouping they were also necesarry for the ability to do many missions in towns barely populated, HM would be impossible without heroes. waiting hours for a decent group would be intolerable for most players, especially those with only and hour or two of playtime.
Anet announced that while their model worked the contunual release of chapters was impossible as the dilution of the playerbase across three continants made social play far more difficult. GW2 is meant to address this.
reversing the dilution is impossible, removal of heroes would make fun play impossible.
keeping GW1 going is simply a matter of releasing updates of new content until GW2 is released. The 4 missions is a prime example, and something i can see happening on occasion. The black Moa Chick quest is another example.
